With 18 years of experience within Global VAT, GST, sales tax and e-invoicing advisory, Alex is a leading global expert on tax technology and the digitalization of tax compliance, and a thought leader on e-invoicing and live reporting. He is a regular speaker on e-invoicing attending and speaking at conferences and symposiums across the globe, as well as authoring articles, thought leadership and frequently interviewed by the media or a guest on podcasts and webinars.

At Avalara, Alex leads on E-Invoicing, responsible for tracking major international indirect tax and e-invoicing legislation and policy, analyzing and articulating impact (across products, content and strategy), and dialoguing with Governments, tax authorities, policymakers, influencers, academia, media, partners and customers. Alex is also Head of Product for Avalara E-Invoicing and Live Reporting and is a member of the European Commission’s e-Invoicing Technical Advisory Group and A-NZ Peppol All Stakeholders Working Group. He represents Avalara at OpenPeppol, EESPA and the International VAT Association, and is a Board Director of Digital Business Networks Alliance in the US.
